House of Fraser, London
In August of 2017, after carrying out a building inspection some week earlier, Vertigo Access Solutions Ltd were hired to put in place a safety net around the House of Fraser building due to the unsafe nature of the buildings stone work. The whole job was carried out by rope access methods and took four weeks from start to finish.
The netting is seen as a short term solution until the stone work can be properly corrected once a scaffolding is in place. However, as working on ropes is a quick and cost effective method, we were able to put the net in place in good time. This gave reassurance that the building was in a safe condition until further work is carried out.
